What exactly is FacePlant?
Well, it's not a story about a T-shirt business face-planting. At least, I seriously hope it's not.
I make faces. Lots of faces.
Not make faces, like sticking my tongue out and taking a selfie.
I create faces. And put them on T-shirts.
It all started with animal portraits made from fruits, vegetables, flowers, and just about anything that grows on a vine, a bush, under the ground, or hangs from a tree.
Yes, really.
Look closely. What seems like a familiar face is actually a rather unexpected collection of botanical bits and pieces.
Every design is original digital artwork, created by me—not generated by AI. And believe me, some of those early stages weren't pretty. I've got the screenshots to prove it.
FacePlant is about imagination, personality, and finding humor in the unexpected. The animal portraits started the whole thing, but who knows what faces might come next?
That's part of the fun.
And coffee. There was lots of coffee involved, too.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a closer look, and helping these faces find their way into the world.
